The gist:In a suburb of Dallas, the tech rehearsal for a week long theater arts festival is trying to get under way with an all male production of Romeo And Julio. Thanks to Mrs. Art Pedigrew, and her husband's large endowment, Bubba's Gym has been newly renovated into the Blue Bonnet Recreational and Cultural Arts Center. Determined to make art if it kills her, (and it almost does), the rehearsal goes awry and all stops are pulled out to make this opening night performance as artistic as possible. But what is art really? And why does anyone bother? And why does the artistic director carry a gun? A zany Texas comedy. |
